Getting Status on an Order
To determine the status of your order, simply log in to your customer account. MarTek will also email you shipping and tracking information at the time your order is shipped. You may also call or e-mail your request to our Customer Service staff, we will be happy to help you. We strive to respond to all inquiries within 1 business day.
Returns & Exchanges
At MarTek Dinghy Davits, we stand behind our products, our service, and our customers, We know that you will be happy with your purchase, however, sometimes a product may not fulfill your requirements and needs to be returned. If you must return an item, please follow these simple steps:
- Contact sales at 727-771-5066 or email sales@martekdavits.com. All returns and exchanges must be approved by MarTek Dinghy Davits
- Items must be return within 14 days of receipt, together with your sales receipt.
- We strongly recommend that you return via the same shipper from which it was received and insured for the full value.
Please note that all returned items must comply with the following:
- Returned items must be in new, resellable condition.
- Non-returnable items include, but not limited to, special order items.
- Refunds exclude original shipping and handling charges
- Return shipping and insurance is the responsibility of the buyer.
- There is a restock fee of 15% for returned items.
- Exchange fee may be applied.
FAQ
How do I know which size is the correct one?
The starting point is the weight of the dinghy/engine combo. Mt 370= 370lbs
total 185 each arm. Mt 600 600 lbs total or 300 per arm.
How is the davit attached to the railing?
Our custom-made round Rail mounts (specify your railing size) using a
compression system designed to tighten yet still easy to remove.
Do the davits fold in?
Yes, we utilize a removable strut bar that can be installed using Pins or Bolts.
What is the delivery time, from order time?
All items are on hand, generally all orders are shipped within 72hrs.
What measurements do I need to order the davits?
Generally, the rail size, the width of the strut bar (distance between the two
rail mounts) and the base mount areas from rail mount to center of proposed
mounting area, also the bolts needed to install the base mount.
Do you have Dinghy lift harnesses?
Yes, we offer 2 hook, 3 hook (85 % requested) and 4 hook lift harnesses, as well
as engine lift harnesses.
What makes your davits more desirable than your competitors?
1” or 1 ¼” dia. x .120” thick, 316Stainless Steele, Davits is all we build, its not a
additional market. Our customer service is second to none.
What kind of Blocks and cam cleats do you use?
We use Viadana, they are solid, reliable, and the supply chain is spot on for us.
Parts are readily available in the USA.
I have a special base mount I need; can you accommodate?
Just measure a couple of times, have a buddy look it over with you, send us a
drawing and my shop will most likely get it done. But special orders are one-way
orders, so make sure of the designs.
What is the general cost of shipping?
Most areas within the CONUS is 60-125$, unless you take advantage of our Sale specials.
Where are your Davits manufactured and assembled?
We have three Locations on the west coast of Florida, Largo, St Petersburg and
main office in Dunedin.
What is your warranty?
All manufactured Items are warranted for two years from installation, with
proof of proper installation forwarded to the Office (pics x2).

Shipping Methods & Costs
We ship your order by FedEx Ground, USPS and have express delivery service available. APO, PPO, FPO military addresses are shipped USPS as well as Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, and Post Office Boxes. Shipping specials are for CONUS shipments only.
·Standard Delivery
Shipping Costs are calculated and added to total bill after packing based on weight and destination; plus $6 handling fee. Standard insurance levels apply, extra coverage available upon request. Standard delivery is usually 4 to 7 business days via FedEx ground and or USPS.

Sales Tax
We are required by law to charge sales tax on Internet orders shipped within the State of Florida. The sales tax charged is the local sales tax for the state to which the order is being shipped.
Warranty
MarTek Dinghy Davits are warranted against manufacturer’s defects for a period of two years from date of delivery (excluding planning hull vessels). MarTek’s liability shall be limited to the repair or replacement, at its discretion, any MarTek products which are found to be defective in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to products that have been altered, abused, broken or damaged by miuse or improper installation. MarTek is not responsible for damage to purchaser’s boat or its accessories due to improper use and/or installation of its products. Please contact MarTek Davits before returning any item. Items returned will be repaired or exchanged at our discretion. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable and are the responsibility of the purchaser for returned items.
